StarCraft is one of the best RTS games ever made, and one of the greatest games of all time. Now, thanks to HTML5, we can play StarCraft in our browser - currently as a demo. But make haste, Blizzard could take it down any minute now.

How to play StarCraft on the browser 6e1p4x
First, we need to visit the project's Github page and the .zip with all the files. Currently, it's about 45MB.
After we the compressed folder, we open it and extract the StarCraft-master folder.
Inside, we open the index.html file.
Windows will probably ask us what program we want to use to open .html files. We can play StarCraft on every major browser, but for the example we used Chrome.
If .html files are already associated with a program other than a browser, e.g. a text editor, we can right-click and select a browser through the "Open with" menu...
...or we can drag the file to the browser of our choice.
In any case, the game will load in our browser.

To play StarCraft on any level, we need to click the white dot in front of the level's name. The cursor needs to change to the hand icon to successfully click.
Mind you, these are not official StarCraft levels, not even the campaign. These are the levels that are ready so far within the project.
The game is far from finished in any form. It's more of a demo, if anything.
We can move our units and battle the enemy units...
...but we can't build anything, produce new units, and there is not even a "Win Scenario".
It's best to press F11 to make the browser window full screen, so we can scroll with ease, without the cursor going off the window. And don't refresh the browser, because all the progress will be lost, and you will be back to the level selection screen.
We tried to play StarCraft on all major browsers. In Firefox, it seems to have a problem with the fog of war.
In Chrome and Edge, it worked just fine.

This StarCraft port isn't created by Blizzard, and it's safe to assume that they didn't give the permission for the use of graphics and sounds. So, don't be surprised if the whole project is taken down in the next few days.
For the time being, though, we can play StarCraft in our browser, as an HTML5 game. And even though it's just a demo without many functions, on some level it is impressive.
